My family has been staying at Disney's Port Orleans for the past 7+ years and have always had a great time. The rooms are comfy and most importantly clean. We requested a crib at check in and one was delivered almost immedietly after we got into our room. The pool is awesome and great for the little ones. The staff is very friendly and very accomidating to any special requests. It is very convienient as buses come every 20 - 30 mins to take you to all the Disney parks. The grounds are very well kept and beautiful. My only complaint would be the high prices for everything including food, drinks etc. but that is to be expected anywhere at Disney.

This was our tenth Disney trip, as well as, our 25th anniversary. We have stayed in many of resorts ongrounds, but we've found our favorite resort here. It is just the right size for our family or when we come without our children.The Mardi Gra atmosphere is so colorful and animated with characters. Love the rooms. Really like the curtained divider in sink area that allows privacy to dress. The staff is friendly and provided all our needs. Drinks were great at the bar. Pool is very adult and kid friendly. We were able to run/walk 2.5 miles from our room, around the lake connected with Riverside, which was mostly shaded. It was perfect. We even got little towel animals left in our room each day for that special touch. Even the farthest rooms were only a few minutes walk to pool or food court, unlike others that take forever to get to those areas. You can also take a very pleasant ten minute boatride(dock is in back of resort) to Downtown Disney to avoid the crowded buses. The only thing I would like to see added is a fitness room with a few weight machines, but other than that. You will love this resort.

We live within 2 hours of Disney and this is the hotel we always stay at. We've been here by as ourselves as 2 adults or with the entire family, parents, us, and the kids. It's a great location, easy to find. Once you park on the first day you never have to drive again!!! One of the best features of this resort is that it is small and only has 1 bus stop; this ensures that you get on the bus straight away before picking up people at the sister resort (Riverside), very often the bus is too full to pick up people at one of the Riverside stops. As well, it ensures you are the first drop off when you get home at night too. :) They also have great entertainment at night in the lobby bar which is a nice treat and you don't have to go very far. Highly recommend this resort. Additionally, Port Orleans is one of the few resorts with a river taxi which takes you directly to downtown Disney, making for easy access to get anywhere you need to. Love it!!! The resort is lovely and very quaint. The beds are fantastic and every King room is on a corner, makes for excellent views, especially from the River facing buildings.

My family stayed here for 8 days and we really enjoyed the peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The resort was beautiful and very well kept. The room we had was great it was the farthest from the bus stop and it still wasnt far to walk so it wasnt too spaced out. We enjoyed the scenery and the pool. We also spent time in the arcade. All of the cast members were extremely pleasant. Anywhere you want to go in WDW is a maximum 15 minute bus ride and if you want to go to downtown disney you can use the boat that picks you up at the hotel. Our experience was definitely magical we didnt want to leave! :#41

Returned recently from a 2 day stay at the Port Orleans French Quarter. My room was starting to show it's age. The bath tub was in serious need of re-caulking. Black mould was present in about 40% of the caulk. The double sinks are nice but are set at a height for a child. The bed was comfortable. If you are a fan of FOX Cable or Fox Business, apparently the WDW resorts do not carry these channels on their televisions. They do carry CNBC and MSNBC. The dresser looked like someone struck it with a chain. The carpet could have used a steam cleaning. The room was a log walk from the transportation system. This resort could use another restaurant on site. The staff was friendly, and the check in and check out was effortless.
