This is our 3rd time to Disney in 2 years and I have to say that this hotel was OUTSTANDING! We were greated with flower leis and walked to the check in desk. All of the staff were happy and greeted you with an "Aloha" when you walked by. My kids LOVED Capn' Cooks. Ohana's was DELICIOUS for dinner but make sure you have a reservation otherwise you might not get in! Kona's was good except the waiter argued with me that my entree was cooked just how I asked for; when I asked for well done and it was still pink in the middle he said it was prepared properly. Not sure what Culinary school he attended. All in all, we will be back. Rooms are beautiful, beach is nice. Make sure you ask for a ground floor room so you can have a bonus patio! Also, it is not outdated or dirty at all! Not sure what building some other reviewers stayed in!

Can't beat the Polynesian's location and staff but the hotel is showing her age and is in need of a facelift. Rooms are outdated and worn especially the bathrooms. We've stayed at several Disney properties and have always loved this one for its island feel and aloha spirit but not sure we'd stay there again especially at a premium room rate. Made us sad to see one of our favorite places looking so run down and frumpy. Have to say the service was definitely what we expect from Disney..... perfect.

i love it! first of all its great for traveling with kids because of the monorail. theres tons to do at the hotel alone so if youre looking for a day just to kick back and stay at the hotel you can def do it at here. i love the atmosphere. i felt like i was on a tropical island or something. the staff is super friendly and the decor in the rooms is adorable. there are 2 fabulos pools one has a volcano waterslide. i loved the show. there are 2 restaurants in the loby ones a nice sit down place and the other is great if you want to try something new. i have no complaints what so ever. i highly recomend the polynesian to anyone!

I travel a great deal for both work and pleasure. Rarely have I stayed in a hotel so expensive with so little to offer. The room was OK and tolerably clean, but poorly serviced. They neglected to replenish supplies and once forgot to do the room at all. The other services were very poor, even compared to a hotel for 1/2 the price: - Information about either Disney or other local facilities was invariably wrong - they did not have the correct information even once! - The restaurants had tolerable food, but you could not get in! Making a reservation did no good, as when you arrived, they told that they do not take reservations (in contrast to what they said on the phone) but only gave priority seating. This was meaningless, as it still meant that you had to wait for 1/2 to 1 hour to be seated. - We stayed at the Polynesian to get easier access the Disneyworld parks. This did no good as the monorail only went to one location, unless we walked to the central transportation facility. The buses to the other parks were irregular and slow. We finally started taking cabs to all the parks as it was so much faster (it could take up to 1 hour via the Disney bus service). - We attempted to use the luggage transfer service on arrival, but, despite their '3 hour guarantee', it took overnight to get our bags to us. I would never stay at a Disney property again - just stay at one of the other good hotels nearby.
