All Walt Disney World Resort hotels are smoke-free. Smoking is permitted in designated outdoor smoking locations only.
Disney's Magical Express Service is another benefit to staying at an on-site Disney Resort hotel. Buses take guests from the Orlando International Airport to the Disney Resort hotel, while the bags are transported and taken straight to the hotel room. When the vacation is over, guests and the bags are transported from the Disney Resort hotel back to the airport. Featuring tranquil waterways and a 19th-century Louisiana atmosphere, Disney's Port Orleans Resort Riverside draws inspiration from the writings of Mark Twain and is approximately 22 miles from Orlando International Airport. Local attractions include Disney's Magic Kingdom® Theme Park and Disney-MGM Studios. Transportation to the theme parks is available by ferry and bus.

Guests may swim in the water hole-themed Ol' Man Island swimming pool and five additional heated pools. Pontoon boats, canopy boats, and mini-motorboats are available for use in the resort's waterways. Horse-drawn excursions and bicycle rentals may be arranged at this resort. Additional amenities include a jogging trail, video arcade, playground, laundry services and facilities, babysitting services, and parking. Dining options include Cajun cuisine at Boatwright's Dining Hall, and the Riverside Mill Food Court.
