my family of 13 stayed in 3 room 2 of which were joined. The maid service was very poor especially in the bathroom area. The day before we left a bag of clean clothes belonging to my husband and children were stolen out of our room. A police report was filed still waiting. I will never stay there again.

The Hotel is one of the moderately priced resort hotels at Disney. My family have been to quite a few of the other moderately priced resorts and for the price, found that Port Orleans was not of the same value, as compared to Coronado Springs or Caribbean Beach Resort. More specifically, the resort dining services were very poor. Honestly, this resorts dining services is no better than the Disney Value Resorts.

I stayed here with my daughter for 5 nights late July early August 09. This hotel was very nice. The landscaping was beautiful, everyone was very friendly and helpful. We stayed in one of bldgs farthest away from the lobby and it was very quiet at night. My daughter was thrilled at the mickey logo on the bed made from towels the day we checked in. Our room was very clean and was thoroughly cleaned every day. TIP: Opt for the refillable mugs in the food court! It was nice to fill it with coffee in the morning when heading out and stop in the lobby after a day at the parks to fill it again to relax in the afternoon! We are looking at booking our next trip and plan on staying here!

The grounds were beautiful and peaceful, and the walk from our room to the main building was a little more than seven minutes but just over a minute to the closest bus depot. We were very pleased with that convenience. I would compare the cleanliness and furnishings in our room to that of a Days Inn or similar motel. Do NOT use the drinking glasses provided. I'm attaching a photo that'll explain why. We bought the refillable travel mugs and used them exclusively. The Magical Express for check-in was effortless. The check-out was cumbersome and inconvenient, as we wanted to take advantage of our last day in one of the parks. Next time I would take advantage of it going TO Disney World but would opt to check my own luggage at the airport on the return. That way we could just stow it with the hotel and have it available to redistribute with last-minute purchases before we leave. Otherwise you have to send it off when you check out and not have access to it again until you reach your final destination. Their instructions are not clear. The themed pool was scenic and pretty, and it seemed to be open nearly all the time.

We stayed with our 2 kids in July 08. It was our first time ever being at Disney and we wanted to stay on the property, without spending an arm & a leg. Our room was so small that we all felt clausterphobic. There was no space for us to relax when the kids went to bed. We literally had to step over all our luggage. The food was mediocre. After seeing the other properties, we were disappointed. Next time we will most definitely stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge (the one with all the animals). It was nice having the riverboat to take to downtown Disney; but we won't stay again. The service was great and we had a great time as a family. I do not recommend going to Disney in the middle of the summer!
