We stayed over the Christmas holiday so it was pretty crowded but was still lots of fun The room was nice and big so lots of room for a family of 4 to spread out. The pool, 9 hole mini golf and bocce were lots of fun....worth the $* resort fee. The workout room was great. I would suggest that they add a walking/jogging path around the hotel to add to the resort feel. My only complaints are that it was hard to get through to maintenance to fix our toilet that kept on clogging and that the restaurants and parking were pricey. Do you really need to pay that much when you are parking your own car?

I've stayed 3 times here at the Gaylord - twice for conferences and once for vacation. Check-in is quick and easy, and express checkout is fantastic. The atrium is the best of the Gaylord chain - plenty to see and do, and you don't get lost as you do in Nashville. Restaurants are on the expensive side, but food is great and plentiful. Nightlife in the hotel is also plentiful - Augies, pool bars, Key West area all have bars and entertainment. There is a pool for adults only for those who want to avoid the noise or who want to lose their own kids. The place is huge, though, so you should make sure you know where your room is - especially if you are going to take advantage of the nightlife. Really close to WDW. Only downside for me is that guests have to pay to park.

After reading some of these reviews, I'm not sure if these people were staying at the same hotel. They definitely let you check out after 11, in fact, we checked out at 1:30pm with no additional charges. We were upgraded rooms at no charge. The room was immaculate. The computer workstation came in handy when looking up restaurants and things to do in the area. The atriums are amazingly set up and cleaned constantly. Each night they powerwashed all the walkways and fixtures. The only thing I didn't like was the self-parking fee. The lot is huge and there is nothing really immediately surrounding the hotel. I understand parking fees at hotels directly near Universal/Disney. The resort fee was not really that bad if you use the pools/hot tubs, etc.
